YouTube Appearance with Sarah Vigil

This YouTube collaboration under my former social media handle languages_with_lauri was such a fun part of my journey connecting myself with the language and linguistics community, exploring the learning process, and reflecting on travel and learning as experiences that shape who I am today.

Obviously, this video was created and posted in February 2022, about one week before the invasion of Ukraine and at the peak of my excitement about my third language, Russian, which I began learning as a teen and used a few months prior in the area of Ukraine where I traveled (Odesa, see my Travel and Photography section for more).

Since this experience I took public speaking courses, improved my language skills in Spanish, Russian, and German in all areas, and lived/worked in Europe. It's an incredible artifact for me to have here in benchmarking my progress over the years. I have learned and changed so much since this interview!
